Targeted Home Based Business Leads
As an Internet marketing specialist, I am hearing more (from home business owners) that the lead lists they are buying (even those that are supposedly targeted for home business) are completely ineffective. People are wasting countless hours… everyday, calling “business opportunity seekers” who aren’t any more interested in “business” than I am in ballet.

“Business opportunity seekers” are usually people who have reached a crossroad in life where they are desperate to get out of a bad financial situation or the are only interested in the money. Those who are only interested in the money will never obtain it through ethical means. Legitimate businesses are founded on the benefit of the “whole”, not just the spart (see The Master Key System - Letter 17)

The quest for “Targeted Home Based Business Leads” is best taken to the resources where you will find the one “vital” element that we all need to become successful online… (that being PEOPLE)… the social networks!

You will not find a better quality lead or means of lead generation that through the major social networks. The mindset here is this… when I need milk, I go to a grocery store. When I need nails, I go to a hardware store. Doesn’t it stand to reason that if I need people (which we all do… we want to make money and it’s people who spend it) that we should just go where the people are?

Think about it… between MySpace, Facebook and Yuwie alone, there are millions of people who are more than qualified (and have the money) to go into business with you. Why not just go in there and get them!

The reason people don’t go in there to “get them” is because they either don’t know how or they are afraid. Fear is crippling and can actually do damage both mentally and physically. With the proper appiclation of knowledge, fear can be removed and wisdom, can then, prevail! It’s simply a matter of applying the knowledge others are willing to share that will make all of the difference for you.

Here are three basic principals you can use when searching for targeted leads within the social networks:

1.) When adding friends to my profiles, I look for two things. First, I look for people who are looking the camera in the eye and second, they have a smile on their face. Character is vitally important to me and therefore, I won’t add anyone as a friend who doesn’t have the guts to look me in the eye. I don’t want to add people who don’t use pictures, look like they are depressed. or who use logo’s to advertise. Why let someone advertise on my profile for free? That only takes away from the mission of my profile which is to drive traffic to my presence online.

2.) Participate in groups, forums and clubs. Provide people with credible information that they can use (and get results with) and they will continue to come back for more. Don’t give them to much information at first (curiosity satisfied is interest lost)… just enough to keep them enticed. This will build trust and lead them to a place of decision to join or buy something from you.

3.) Incorporate lead capture into your information blogs, where permitted. Aweber is a great place to get all that you need in auto responder. This will help you set up and manage any database you would like to build.

Use these principals and you will see a tremendous difference in the results you see through your online marketing efforts.
