    It’s an interesting question actually, and one that I can answer easily as I have compared the two in the past before. The feeling you get when you become lucid is just as euphoric, if not more so, then all of the artificial highs in the world combined. It’s truly a beautiful feeling.

    Hiya, thanks for the kind words. Well, I first started having lucid dreams before I even knew what they were (when I was around the age of 10) and first began purposely trying to induce them in my early teens. With the help of reality checks, dream signs, dream journals, etc, I started to have fairly regular lucid dreams within the space of a few months. Still not having them every night though…I wish! :)

    wow.. ive never heard of lucid dreaming before but i guess i do it all the time.. lol.

    i mean as long as its a strong dream i always realize im dreaming.. and thats where the fun begins. but i tend to wake up shortly after, any suggestions to keep them longer?

    usally when I dream …
    usally when I dream, the things happen, and when I have a flashback I try and make sure that bad event dosent happen

    it comes in handy

    expecially if i’m gonna get in trouble with rents

    A few a week …
    A few a week usually, although that amount can differ considerably depending on numerous things, such as: how much alcohol I’ve drunk that week, how early I’ve been going to bed, if I was really putting my full concentration on specifically having a lucid dream that particular night, etc, etc.

    last night i had my first lucid dream and i used the WILD method, i could tell once i became fully lucid because this beautiful feeling of happiness and completion came over me as if i had finaly crossed over into the dream, it was amazing it was a first person view like real life and i could hear fell and see my enviornment, it was the coolest thing iver ever done

    Hi,

    i juz heard about lucid dreams…yesterday 13/01/08.

    now i want to know if its worth it, does is feel just like normal day dreaming or does it feel and look exactly like real life or similar?

    also, must i keep a dream journal till i die if i wanna keep on gain lucid?

    aaaand, can you before you go to be just say”im having a lucid dream tonight” or is it just lucky?

    I can lucid dream, never kept a dream journal at all. I first started lying in bed, I was deep in thought when I started seeing images. It feels like your body is asleep while you are awake. From that I started lucid dreaming very easily. Just read up on it, tell yourself you can lucid dream and you will with practice!

    Also, im wondering if the dream i had is really a dream, like when i go to bed, i normally see images which i think would be a dream, but would that just be kind of day dreaming because your still awake? If you can answer these for me that would be great. Thanks :D

    hey, ive been wondering how to lucid dream for awhile now and came across your videos. The tips you give out seem really helpful but im wondering about something. How do you wake yourself up from a dream? Do you set your alarm clock at a irregualr time at night and if so, wouldnt that disrupt your dream ad making it hard to remember?

    People talk about …
    People talk about waking yourself up after every period of REM to write your dreams down, but I think that’s absolutely ridiculous. Just let yourself wake up naturally from your dreams and write down whatever you remember from the night, at first you’ll probably only remember the last bit of the dream you just woke up from, but in time your recall will stretch back for hours.

    What you’re …
    What you’re referring to here is called, Hypnagogic Imagery, and is not technically dreaming. However, it’s important to try and stay focused during this time as it’s the first step towards dreaming. By staying conscious during Hypnagogic Imagery you have a chance of slipping straight into a lucid dream (we call this a Wake Induced Lucid Dream).

    Ah right ok, so when im doing this Hypnagogic Imagery, i focus on it by trying to stay in whatever im seeing, for example, going for a walk or try to take control of it by changing what im doing like instead of walking, run?

    Eventually, if you stay focused and calm, these images will turn into a solid dream state as you enter REM and you may then take control of the dream. This technique is extremely hard to master, though, so don’t be disheartened if you don’t get results straight away.

    No, during Hypnagogic Imagery it’s important to not try and take control. If you try and take control at this stage, the images will fade. Instead, just let the images wash over you; be aware that they are there but do not try and influence them in any way.

    I don’t know if that’s true or not. But basically in my case I never seem to dream or if I do I can’t remember them at all. I really only ever remember a dream about every two months or something. Is there a way I can make myself dream or a way I can help myself to remember because I can’t fill in a dream journal if there’s no dreams to write!

    Hey,sorry if I sound like a dumbass asking this but obviously when you fill in a dream journal you need to dream to fill it in.Apparently I’ve read before that you dream everynight but you just never realise it and so can’t remember it in the morning or when you wake up.

    Yeah, you dream every night regardless of if you remember or not. A tip that I constantly tell everyone is when you wake up, if you don’t have any recall, then lay back down and close your eyes again and let yourself slip half back into a sleeping state, by doing this your dream recall has a higher chance of coming back to you.
