Life Evolution: Oxford University (Fast)

This is more to prove a point then to have a high production value. I figured people don’t have a long enough attention span for the half hour video through the Oxford Museum of Natural History, so hopefully you can relatively enjoy the under 4 minute version. If you are religious, I don’t mean to insult you, just losing patience with the religious right in America.
YOUTUBE’s quality is much worse than MyspaceTV, which is disappointing.
Modern geologists consider the age of the Earth to be around 4.54 billion years (4.54×10^9 years).
The basic timeline of life evolution is a 4.6 billion year old Earth, with (approximately):
4 billion years of simple cells (prokaryotes),
3 billion years of photosynthesis,
2 billion years of complex cells (eukaryotes),
1 billion years of multi-cellular life,
600 million years of simple animals,
570 million years of arthropods (ancestors of insects, arachnids and crustaceans)
550 million years of complex animals
500 million years of fish and proto-amphibians,
475 million years of land plants,
400 million years of insects and seeds,
360 million years of amphibians,
300 million years of reptiles,
200 million years of mammals,
150 million years of birds,
130 million years of flowers,
65 million years since the non-avian dinosaurs died out and
2 million years since humans started looking like they do today.
Here is my walk through of Oxford University Museum of Natural History’s collection of evidence of an old Earth, a very old Earth and evolutionary evidence. Here’s just one university’s collection, more than fundamentalist give total credit for, and there are countless other collections around the world.
Christian fundamentalists, as well as many Haredi Jews, advocate Young Earth creationism. I began talking about Earthism over a decade ago and shortly after I began seeing the Earthism idea being misused by fundamentalists as their title: young Earthism (this made me very upset to say the least).
Dependent on religious texts (primarily the book of Genesis; Hebrew), they seek to provide a model for understanding Earth history in simpleton terms. Fundamentalists normally hold that the Earth is 6,000 to 10,000 years old(???), based on the initial creation account in Genesis.
Other religions demonstrate more imagination, namely Hindu cosmology states a universe endures for about 4,320,000,000 years. It is interesting to research cultures around the world and look through their perspective from time to time.
When it comes down to it, though, religion desperately holds onto superseded concepts, which prevents humanity to fully move forward. Our progress as a culture is negatively affected by the reactionary notion of fundamentalists and their archaic understanding of the Earth and the universe, which most were developed during the Bronze Age. Imagine if we took a cue from reactionaries and our entire understanding of the world completely relied on what humans thought they knew thousands of years ago. Well, say goodbye to basically everything you have around you. You can think naively about how simple life would be and much easier, but I doubt anyone reading this on their state-of-the-art computer could last more than a week in conditions of the Bronze Age, including myself, let alone an entire day.
We need to stop grasping onto obsolete notions and allow one’s perspective to adapt and evolve with the times. It is fine and wonderful to look at religious myth as metaphors, but it is dangerous to take such incompetent stories literally. That is a major goal of the Spective Earthian concept. Specific information is from Wikipedia.com, “The Earth Book,” and the top of my head.
Music respectfully Pink Floyd Echoes: Best of Pink Floyd (an awesome collection as is Pulse, you know they rock).

I don’t know why it is so pixelated; I uploaded it twice and the one on myspacetv is much higher quality, and I uploaded the same vid (myspace/tdieci). YouTube needs to improve their uploader for video quality and audio quality!

You need look no …
You need look no father than the DNA of man to find the oldest living artifact proving intelligent design… That is fact and modern science has proven this to be a truth…
Human or any other living DNA could not have come from evolution or natural selection…
God created man in his own image… Truth and Fact…

Because you say it …
Because you say it (and all your ditto heads) or wish it to be so doesn’t mean a damn thing. You believe a myth, and a three letter word created everything, it is just sad and intellectual laziness. Evolution is just beyond your comprehension so you have to rely on dogmatic myth to understand the world instead of tireless research. The Bible does not contain proof of anything. It is a plagiarized story book.

No because it is …
No because it is fact that modern science has proven by use of the computer , it would be impossible for the complex structure of human DNA to come about by way of evolution or natural selection… This my friend is based on computer generated mathematical fact… The odds of the DNA structure of man to come about by evolution gives you a number that would take more than a life time to write…

Whether our …
Whether our primitive computers can calculate it or not does not amount to any argument at all. Why not write a computer program for every species that has gone extinct and the probability of that occurring. And on that note: extinction is evidence of very unintelligent design. Why have “god’s” creations gone extinct over the last 3.9 to 4.1 billion yrs.? Oh wait, let me guess you think the Earth is 10K years old?!

“DNA sequences can …
“DNA sequences can change through mutations, producing new alleles. If a mutation occurs within a gene, the new allele may affect the trait that the gene controls, altering the phenotype of the organism. However, while this simple correspondence between an allele and a trait works in some cases, most traits are more complex and are controlled by multiple interacting genes.” Multiple this by the variety of species on this planet and the billions of years of time. Might take a lifetime.

Oh is that a coercive tactic, old and tired. Sorry, your fear constructs are powerless against me. Your myth, your ripple of gullibility, have no authority and are just to enslave your mind. It would be hell to have such a simpleton, religious perspective. So how is hell going for you?

Great video! If you belive in intelligent design you have to be two of the following:
1. A guy who haven’t read enough about evolution.
2. A total IDIOT who just ignore the millions of evidence there is for evolution just because he is deluded.

If only you had videotaped the museum’s bathroom’s, it would have been more convincing of evolution. I suspect this is the “mountains” of evidence that evolutionists elude to and which by themselves (without great leaps of faith and vast assumptions), mean NOTHING to evolution.

Hello tool, how’s life being a slave to an archaic myth treating you? Sorry you cannot comprehend evolution. Religion needs surfs like you to persist, so kudos on keeping the fear construct going. Have fun in everlasting ignorance. This is one museum with rather poor editing on my part, I honestly admit. But it is a wonderful museum, Oxford, a warehouse of evidence, and one of countless around the world. Happy trolling elsewhere, zigzagzoo12.

Talking about Stupid, your video, is it a self fulfilling prophesy for you?! Make sure you don’t use that shotgun for mouth wash, twat. Was that your Blackwater application? Remember, your g-o-d is a construct and a myth, and so is the glory of war. You enter the battlefield hungry, and you leave it demented and poor. You found you way into your mess, now find your way to the door. Two jarhead wannabes, special forces, to your horror.

Atheism is growing
man kind is taking more acknowledgment to the value of science and reason.
One day there wont be religion.
In the words of John Lennon
“Imagine theres no heaven,
its easy if you try.
No hell below us,
above us only shy.
Imagine all the people,
living for today.
Imagine theres no countries.
It isnt hard to do.
nothing to kill or die for
no religion too.
