    oh my god thats so long way round just start pc in safe mode, then start menu, then control panel,then user account..delete or change password..reboot.then enjoy thats so much easier than that

    so how is this not a program? u can change password in winxp like this.

    -at cmd promt, type “net user” then the name of the account, then the new password.

    -like this: net user Administrator password

    works every time. boot into safe mode to get to prompt if you don’t have a secondary account to log in to.

    the net user thing may work but not if you only have one account and the password is built into your harddrive so there is no way you can access that account unless you think ahead and download ERD

    Nope. There are many ways around if there is no admin password ( which is normal ).

    1. At the welcome screen, press Ctrl-Alt-Del twice, rapidly. A login window pops up, type “Administrator” for the user, and leave the password field blank. Login.

    2. If you can access any acct. with admin rights, just run ‘cmd’ then type:

    net user
    net user [username] *
    type in a new password, twice :-)

    3. Or you can just open user accounts, choose a user, and say “remove password.” ;-)

    Simple.
